25 Weeks!

How far along? 25 weeks

Total weight gain: -43 lbs

Maternity clothes? My jeans are finally starting to feel a little snug. I bought a few dresses that have some room to fit an expanding belly.

Sleep: Not great, I keep waking up on my back and worrying that I was on my back to long.

Best moment this week: Seeing the baby move! I can watch my stomach and see it jump around. It is AMAZING!

Gender: GIRL!!!!

Labor Signs: Nope.

What I miss: My family! They all went home last weekend.

What I am looking forward to: Starting our birth class, one last trip to AK before the baby comes.

Weekly Wisdom: Keep your nightmarish labor and delivery stories to yourselves, it helps no one for me to hear them.

Milestones: 62.5% done! Next week we will be under 100 days until the due date!

Weekly Wisdom: Don’t wish away the pregnancy. For awhile I just wanted to hurry and be done, but this is such a fun time I do not want it to go to fast!

Milestones: We set up the crib and my mom and I finished the baby bedding!!! It is GORGEOUS!!!

The Holiday Season

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this time of year. I start listening to the Christmas music channel about a week before Thanksgiving until it goes off the air. I love shopping, decorating, baking and all of the time with family.

This year my cousin/best friend and her family are coming for 10 WHOLE days! We have all sorts of fun things planned. They arrive next Wednesday, so the posts will be pretty sparse until the end of the year.

As much as I love shopping I did not really have the energy to go to the stores and look for something for everyone, so I relied on the Amazon wish list. I pretty much completed all of my shopping last night in about an hour. I just have a couple of things I want to buy locally and I am done! I still need to get Christmas cards in the mail, but other than that I  am having a pretty relaxed December.

My mom and I are about half way done with the baby bedding project. I think I will have Dan set up the crib this weekend so that we can see the bedding on the actual piece of furniture. At first I was thinking it was a bit to early for that, but we were going to do it in January anyway so what is the difference of a few weeks.

I hope everyone is having a great Holiday Season!

Sleep: Some nights have been great, others not so much. With a reduced work schedule I am less tired by the end of the work day though.

Best moment this week: My doctor said the baby is in the 50th percentile for size. Which is perfect. So that is a relief. Since I am being treated as a type 2 diabetic there is some concern of the baby being to big or to small.

Gender: GIRL!!!!

Labor Signs: Nope.

What I miss: I have been seeing the snow reports in the mountains and I wish we could go skiing!

What I am looking forward to: Getting the babies room set up, our next ultrasound, EVERYTHING!

Weekly Wisdom: This is not really wisdom, but as of late I have felt like the peranatoligists and diabetic nurses could be explaining things better. Sometimes I feel very talked at, not talked to.

Milestones: More movement and 55% done with this pregnancy!

Blessing in Disguise

Some of you know that my company has been cutting people’s hours for about the last year. My job has continued as a 40/week position until Tuesday. I am officially on a 24 hour work week.

Although I am a little worried about the loss in pay I am trying to look at it more positively. Now, I will have more energy and time when I get off work for other things. I have a huge list of things I want to accomplish before Feterson arrives, and now I have the time!

So, even though money will be a bit tighter, at least I still have a job! There are plenty of people out there who are not so fortunate.

21 Weeks

How far along? 21 weeks

Total weight gain: -43 lbs

 Maternity clothes? Nope

Sleep: THis week has been rough, I have a cold and so I am coughing a lot.

Best moment this week: Definite movement!!!!!!

Movement: I was standing in line at JoAnn Fabrics on black friday and all of the sudden it felt like fish doing flips in my tummy. It was AMAZING!

Gender: GIRL!!!! Black Friday was a shopping extravaganza for Feterson!

 Labor Signs: Nope.

Belly Button in or out? Still in.

What I miss: THis week, wine would have been great!

What I am looking forward to: Getting the babies room set up, our next ultrasound, EVERYTHING!

Weekly Wisdom: Just because you are 20 weeks pregnant does not make deals any less appealing. I know what I can handle, and although I appreciate all of the cautionary tales of Black Friday you can rest assured I am not going to let myself or my baby get trampled! (More unsolicited opinions!)

Milestones: First official movement felt, that was amazing.
